V-Belt
V-Belt driven degerminator specifically designed for high capacity corn
degermination, this single disc mill features air shaft seal, standard grease
lubricated pillow block bearings, and v-belt drive with sheaves and belts mounted
outboard of the bearings. |

Disc Refiners
Used for first- and second-stage degerminating and third-stage refining, these single and double revolving
disc refiners range from 12-inch diameter
to 52-inch diameter, with connected HP up to 1000. All mills have numerous features for convenience,
reduced maintenance, and reliable performance.
Standard construction for wet processing features 316 stainless steel contact surfaces. Plates have optimum
design for your process. We produce them in our own foundry, under exacting quality control. Degerm and
grind corn in a wet front end process; they can also grind high-moisture corn and other grains. Single-
and double-disc machines offer you a range of choices. |

Double Disc Mills
Andritz Sprout Double-Disc Mills are available in sizes
24" to 36". Cast iron or cast stainless v-belt drives
overhead or floor motor mounts sliding bearing plate
gap adjustment spring-loaded control disc packing seals
quick release plate unloading bolted plate attachment
door seals up to 250 hp motor on each end of the mill
provides greater HP input affording higher throughput. |

Double Agitator
Mixer
In ethanol production, DA Mixers are used for mixing
enzymes with slurry after cooking and temperature adjustment.
In both ethanol production
and corn wet milling, they mix syrup, wet cake, and
dry recycle ahead of the fiber or DDGS dryer. Many
sizes are available to meet retention, mixing and capacity
requirements. DA mixers configured as steam conditioners
excel at blending steep liquor, delumping, and providing
a uniform feed to the pellet mill. |

Hammer Mill
These rugged mills excel at grinding whole grains for
dry process ethanol production. In corn wet milling,
our hammer mills can be found grinding corn gluten
meal, corn gluten feed, and
delumping gluten meal from the vacuum filter. The product
range covers fine to coarse grinding. Available in stainless
steel or standard carbon steel construction with connected
horsepower ranging to 600, Sprout Bauer hammer mills
include special features for reliable operation and long
life, as well as energy savings. Even distribution of
material achieves highly efficient mill operation and
even wear
on hammers and screens. Electronic controls enhance production. |

Roto-Shaker™ Screeners
Roto-Shaker Screeners have a variety of uses. They clean
incoming grains for ethanol production or corn wet milling.
They also offer efficient screening of corn gluten feed
prior to grinding or pelleting. The Roto-Shaker’s
gyratory-reciprocating screening action evenly distributes
material for uniform separation. The unit features a
unique, simple drive with fewer moving parts than competitive
machines; the Roto-Shaker is noted for its low, easy
maintenance. Exclusive “Scotch Ply” tail
end bearings are greaseless and provide extremely long
life. |

Rotary Valve and Other Pneumatic Conveying Components
Sprout-Bauer Rotary Valves are a leading choice of wet
millers, because of their rugged construction and long
working life. Built of cast iron, stainless steel, or
cast iron lined with chrome, they offer service to 15
psi in both positive and negative, dilute-phase pneumatic
conveying. Used as feeders or airlocks, the valves are
able to handle abrasive materials. Their eight-blade
rotor design provides superior, two-blade sealing without
loss of pocket capacity. Outboard bearings prevent product
contamination, while dust-tight operation extends valve
life. These modular rotary valves have components that
can be interchanged in the field. |

Two-way Plug Type Diverter Valves
Direct material from one to two lines, for line sizes
from 2" to 12" in diameter.
All stainless construction or aluminum with stainless
plug. |

Slide Type Diverter Valves
Provide material diversion from a single flow line to
several destinations, or the reverse. Electronic switches
assure
accurate positioning of the movable inlet, automatically
compensating for drift from the selected position. 2" to
10" line sizes, with up to eight positions. |
